Fee Schedule – Occupational Therapy
* Assessment are charged at an hourly rate. Assessments will vary in the amount of time required dependent on the standardised assessment required and the client’s requirements.
On average a functional capacity assessment requires 1.5 – 2 hours of face-to-face administration time and 3 hours of scoring and report writing time.
What are the costs for Occupational Therapy sessions?
Occupational Therapy 60 minutes – $193.99
Occupational Therapy 45 minutes – $150.00
Level II Therapy Assistant 60 minutes – $80.68
Tools 4 Life are registered providers with several different funding schemes.

Travel
Travel fees are charged at our hourly rate. A travel fee is charged for the duration of return travel from our clinic in Woolloongabba.
The duration for travel is based on travel routes from Google Maps.
Our team will always endeavour to schedule clients in similar locations for the same day to minimise the travel fee when possible.
You will be advised of the cost of travel prior to your appointment.
Assessments and Reports
At Tools 4 Life we offer a range of standardised assessments including:
- Functional Capacity Assessments
- Developmental Assessments
- Handwriting Assessments
- Sensory Processing Assessments
- Assessment of motor skills
The assessment completed with your child will depend on the information that is required to support with goal setting, treatment planning or if information is required for funding bodies (e.g., NDIS or private health insurance).
Your OT will work with you to identify which assessment would be the best fit for your child.
All of our assessments and reports are charged at our hourly rate. We will provide you with a quote for the cost of the assessment and report.
Funding
National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
Tools 4 Life are registered providers with the National Disability Insurance Scheme. NDIS funding can be used to cover the cost of occupational therapy sessions depending on your NDIS goals.
Helping Children with Autism Package (HCWA)
Tools 4 Life are registered providers with the Helping Children with Autism Package. HCWA funding can be used to cover the cost of occupational therapy sessions.
Better Start Initiative Program
Tools 4 Life are registered providers with the Better Start Initiative Program. Better Start funding can be used to cover the cost of occupational therapy sessions.
Medicare Rebates
Medicare rebate programs are also available to assist with funding occupational therapy sessions. Your family Doctor can support you to set up a Medicare rebate plan for occupational therapy. Please contact us for more information.
Private Health Funds
Private Health Insurance may also help to cover a portion of the cost of occupational therapy. We recommend contacting your insurance provider to see if your health insurance covers occupational therapy.
