Paint and Tea is a fun, creative social group program for young adults to support their social skills and practice their fine motor skills whilst socialising in a group. The program is designed and delivered by an Occupational Therapist. Each participant will be provided with paints and canvas. The Occupational Therapist will lead a step-by-step group painting experience to create your own masterpiece on canvas to take home, whilst guiding group social and conversational skills.
What will you practise?
The group program covers the concepts of:
· Social greetings – Introducing self
· Working in a group setting
· Meeting new people
· Practising conversational skills
· Managing frustration
· Improving fine motor skills
The group will run in the mornings for 2 hours per session once a fortnight, and run for 10 weeks. A day will be confirmed based on preferences indicated in expressions of interest.
